DLF Ltd, a prominent commercial real estate development company, is gearing up to introduce two luxury housing projects valued at Rs 15,000 crore in Gurugram. Anticipated to be launched in the latter half of this financial year, the move comes in response to robust demand for upscale residences, as stated by the Managing Director, Ashok Kumar Tyagi.
In a recent interview with PTI, Tyagi highlighted the robust demand for ultra-luxury, luxury, and mid-income residential properties. DLF has set an ambitious sales bookings target of Rs 13,000 crore for the fiscal year, with aspirations to surpass this figure. Additionally, Tyagi discussed the company’s strategy to capitalize on the strong demand in premium and luxury segments, revealing a launch pipeline of Rs 20,000 crore for the current fiscal year.
In an interview, Tyagi shared insights into DLF’s upcoming launches, emphasizing that this year’s focus will revolve around two significant projects in Gurugram— one situated in Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and the other in Golf Course Road. While the estimated sales bookings value for these Gurugram projects amounts to approximately Rs 15,000 crore, specific details were not disclosed. Tyagi acknowledged some challenges in the affordable housing segment due to rising interest rates on home loans and increased housing prices. Despite these challenges, DLF experienced substantial success, with the sale of Rs 8,000 crore worth of flats within three days in February at its new project ‘The Arbour’ in Gurugram. The 2022-23 financial year saw DLF’s sales bookings surge to Rs 15,058 crore, more than doubling from the previous year’s Rs 7,273 crore.
DLF holds the position of India’s largest real estate firm based on market capitalization. With a track record of over 158 real estate projects and an expansive area exceeding 340 million square feet, the group boasts a development potential of 215 million square feet across residential and commercial segments. Additionally, DLF manages an annuity portfolio spanning over 42 million square feet.
